Who is PresGlas®?
PresGlas® is a leading supplier of noise control and thermal insulation systems for Off-Road and Specialty Vehicles, Heavy Trucks, Office Furniture and HVAC Manufacturing.
Our custom products are developed in close co-operation with our customers in order to integrate noise reduction, thermal management and high quality fit and trims. Our products offer excellent NVH (noise-vibration-harshness) capabilities and are molded composites of various fibers, fabrics and plastics.
Along with superior manufacturing and distribution facilities we offer complete product development, design services, prototyping, and acoustic and thermal testing. PresGlas® provides consistent products for "Global" platforms, has a presence in all major markets and can support OEM worldwide.
Where are we?
Located in the city of Cambridge, Ontario just west of Toronto (click here to view the map), we are a 1.5 hour drive from Buffalo, NY and a 3 hour drive from Detroit, MI. Cambridge is part of an area called "The Technology Triangle". This area includes the cities of Waterloo, Kitchener, and Guelph. There are 4 international airports within a 1 hour drive (Toronto, Hamilton, Waterloo-Wellington and London). Cambridge is a transportation hub with many trucking companies having their headquarters and depots in the area.
What do we do?
Our products
Utilizing various raw materials including fiberglass, cotton, Polyethylene, foams, etc. we form parts for specialty companies throughout the world. These parts can be trimmed with various cloths, carpets and vinyl. Fabricated parts include headliners, hoodliners, firewall insulators, interior side panels, acoustical panels, engine covers and compressor covers.
Using these and other specialty materials we also fabricate custom acoustical boards of various densities and dimensions for use in the office furniture industry as acoustical screen cores. We specialize in Formaldehyde Free products. Our products are available with very fine finishes suitable for cloth lamination. We cut to size using a waterjet which enhances our ability to control dimensions.
How do we do it?
Our Design and Engineering department
The personnel in our Engineering Department are well versed in the requirements of the major markets and product groups we encompass (we can work in AutoCAD dwg or dxf, Pro-E, all model formats and also 2D Nesting). Working in conjunction with our customers, our engineers help to develop the specifications and tolerances that ensure high quality results. When necessary, tools are manufactured for forming the parts according to the specifications. Prototypes are produced and tested for fit and finish. Various combinations of materials are utilized to achieve the desired high quality result expected by our customers.

Our customers include many different types of manufacturing companies: heavy truck manufacturers, off-road equipment, buses, ambulances, recreational vehicles, construction vehicles, office furniture, acoustical screen manufacturers. What they have in common is a need for acoustic or thermal performance with a high quality fit and finish.
